Carolina Navigators is a speakers bureau program which is part of the UNC Center for Global Initiatives. This program enriches the education of both UNC and K-12 students through engaged international learning. The program provides cultural resources and interactive classroom presentations by Carolina international students and by U.S. students who have international experience and expertise.

You may be invited to speak about your home country and culture, show slides, or demonstrate native dress, music, foods, and/or crafts. Carolina students benefit from the program by having the opportunity to share their experiences while practicing public speaking and teaching skills. They may also enroll in an academic service-learning class, INTS 290, and participate in a training session.

If you are interested in the program please check this box authorizing us to give your contact information to the Carolina Navigators Program Coordinator OR you can leave the box unchecked and directly contact Carolina Navigators: Tara Muller, Carolina Navigators Program Coordinator, Center for Global Initiatives, 843-6860, navigators@unc.edu

Would you be interested in giving talks about your country to schools and other organizations in the community?

Would your spouse be interested?

This program provides the spouses of international students and scholars the opportunity to meet other women from around the world as well as American members of the Chapel Hill community. They learn about local activities for internationals and their children, and have English conversation lessons in a relaxed atmosphere. Babysitting is provided. This group meets on Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at a private home. If you check this box, we will send you more detailed information when you arrive.
