LIBRARIES

UNC-Chapel Hill Library System
The Libraries at UNC-Chapel Hill, with over 5 million volumes, are among the top-rated in the country. All libraries in the system are open to anyone in the community and the library staff is happy to help with any question, from the most basic to in-depth advice about research projects. For more information, see the Libraries' Web site (http://www.lib.unc.edu) or visit any of the campus libraries.

As at most American libraries, you may enter the stacks where the books are kept and select items yourself. The online catalog lists most materials held by campus libraries. Use your UNC-One card to borrow materials from campus libraries. You may borrow books from the libraries at Duke, North Carolina Central, and North Carolina State universities using your One card and registering at the circulation desk of the main library of the institution. You may also borrow books from these and many other libraries across the country through interlibrary loan.
